.SYNOPSIS...AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OFF THE S OREGON COAST
WILL MOVE NORTHEAST AND CROSS THE FORECAST AREA TODAY AND TONIGHT.
THE LOW WILL SPREAD MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR ACROSS THE REGION AS IT
CROSSES. ONSHORE FLOW WILL INCREASE AS THE LOW PASSES BY SPREADING IN
COOLER MARINE AIR INLAND TODAY AND WED. ANOTHER LOW WILL DROP DOWN TO
OFF THE WA COAST THU AND FRI.

.SHORT TERM...UPPER LOW APPROACHING THE S OREGON COAST THIS MORNING.
LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE SW QUARTER OF
FORECAST AREA IS LIFTING NNW...AWAY FROM AREA OF BEST INSTABILITY.
EXPECT THIS AREA OF CONVECTION TO CONTINUE LIFTING N TODAY WHILE
GRADUALLY WEAKENING AS IT CONTINUES TO OUTPACE THE SPEED OF THE
WEAKENING UPPER LOW AS IT LIFTS N.  AS MORNING CLOUDS THIN SHOULD SEE
ENOUGH WARMING TO DESTABILIZE ATMOSPHERE AGAIN LATER TODAY...
ESPECIALLY OVER CASCADES...SO WILL CONTINUE WITH CHANCES FOR
THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

VORT MAX ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE UPPER TROUGH NEAR 44N 133W IS
FORECAST BY MODELS TO ROTATE S TONIGHT...THEN LIFT NE WED POSSIBLY
GRAZING SE PART OF FORECAST AREA.  WILL KEEP IN MENTION FOR A SLIGHT
CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS LANE COUNTY CASCADES LATE TOMORROW.

.LONG TERM...NO CHANGES. PREVIOUS DISCUSSION FOLLOWS...MODELS IN
DECENT AGREEMENT KEEPING A TROUGH JUST OFF THE COAST THROUGH MOST OF
EXTENDED.  MAIN PRECIPITATION CHANCES APPEAR TO BE FRI AND AGAIN
MON.  MODELS CONTINUE TO ROTATE A VORT MAX AROUND THE LOW BRUSHING
AGAINST THE NW PART OF THE FORECAST AREA THU INTO EARLY FRI.  WILL
KEEP A CHANCE OF SHOWERS GOING IN THE NW AND OVER THE NORTHERN
CASCADES THU...AND RUN A SLIGHT CHANCE ALONG THE COAST INTO FRI.  GFS
