  BARTOW COUNTY IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA

* UNTIL 915 PM EDT

* AT 718 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IN THE PAST HOUR ACROSS PARTS OF NORTHERN   
  BARTOW COUNTY.  WITH UP TO AN INCH OF ADDITIONAL RAIN ON TOP OF    
  ALREADY VERY MOIST SOILS...STREAMS AND CREEKS MAY COME OUT OF      
  THEIR BANKS...EVEN AFTER THE RAIN ENDS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING EXPIRING FOR BARTOW COUNTY...

THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR BARTOW COUNTY WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE 
AT 915 PM. SOME STREET FLOODING IS STILL OCCURRING IN AND AROUND 
CARTERSVILLE...MAINLY DUE TO CLOGGED DRAINAGE AREAS. OTHER AREAS FROM 
AROUND CARTERSVILLE NORTHWARD TOWARD RYDAL AND FUNKHOUSER MAY ALSO 
STILL HAVE RECEDING FLOOD WATERS. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS NEAR PETTIT 
AND ROCK CREEKS WHERE HEAVY RAINFALL EARLIER MAY HAVE WATERS RUNNING 
QUITE HIGH. 

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
