THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND FORKS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  RICHLAND COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA AND   
  WILKIN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA.

* UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT.

* AT 604 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED       
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO MOVE NORTHEAST OVER 
  RICHLAND AND WILKIN COUNTIES.

* LATEST DOPPLER RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICATED THAT OVER 3 INCHES OF  
  RAINFALL HAVE FALLEN OVER THE CITIES OF WAHPETON...BRECKENRIDGE    
  AND LAWNDALE DURING THE PAST HOUR RESULTING IN STREET AND         
  OVERLAND FLOODING. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED OVER THE  
  AREA AND WILL ONLY FURTHER AGGRAVATE THE FLOODING SITUATION.  

  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR    
  VEHICLE INTO WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. ONE OR TWO FEET OF WATER WILL 
  FLOAT MOST CARS DOWNSTREAM.
