TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES.

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS
EVENING OVER ALL OF THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES...WITH BETTER
CHANCES OFF OF THE CAPROCK ACROSS THE EASTERN THIRD. THE
THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP IN AN AREA OF RICH ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE
AHEAD OF A DRYLINE OVER THE EASTERN PLAINS OF NEW MEXICO WHICH SHOULD
MIX EASTWARD INTO THE WESTERN SECTIONS OF THE PANHANDLES LATER TODAY.
A WARM LAYER IN THE MID LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE IS EXPECTED TO
INHIBIT THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT...HOWEVER A FEW STORMS COULD STILL
POSSIBLY FORM MAINLY ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN SECTIONS OF THE
OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS PANHANDLES.

ALSO...ABUNDANT DAYTIME HEATING WILL ALLOW SOME THUNDERSTORMS TO
DEVELOP WITH THE STORMS WEAKENING AFTER SUNSET. ANY OF THE STRONGER
STORMS WILL PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAINS AND POSSIBLY SOME SMALL HAIL
ALONG WITH STRONG GUSTY WINDS...BUT THESE ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN
BELOW SEVERE LEVELS.

ACTIVATION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCIES OR SKYWARN SPOTTERS IS
NOT ANTICIPATED THROUGH TONIGHT.
