TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI                        
   WESTERN AND MIDDLE TENNESSEE                          

EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING FROM 1100 PM UNTIL
400 AM CST.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO
80 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 60 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST
OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES SOUTH OF OXFORD MISSISSIPPI TO 95 MILES
NORTHEAST OF JACKSON TENNESSEE.

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

DISCUSSION...INTENSE SQUALL LINE OVER NORTHWEST MS AND SOUTHWEST TN
IS EXPECTED TO TRACK NORTHEASTWARD INTO MIDDLE TN DURING THE NEXT
SEVERAL HOURS.  EMBEDDED BOWS AND MESOCYCLONES WITHIN AND AHEAD OF
LINE WILL BE CAPABLE OF DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES.  LOW
LEVEL SHEAR IS VERY STRONG IN THIS AREA WITH 3KM SR HELICITY VALUES
OVER 400 M2/S2.

AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 1 INCH...EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
