NORTHEAST OREGON/SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PENDLETON OR 230 PM PDT FRI JUN 8 2001 MID AND HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS...ASSOCIATED WITH THE DISTURBANCE THAT MOVED EAST OF THE CASCADES THIS MORNING...CONTINUE TO LINGER OVER MOST OF THE FORECAST AREA THIS AFTERNOON. CLOUD COVER WILL INFLUENCE THE AMOUNT OF CONVECTION THAT WILL DEVELOP IN THE NEXT 12 HOURS. SPC OUTLOOK HAS NEARLY ALL OF THE FORECAST AREA IN A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE T-STORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. A SHORTWAVE MOVING INLAND WILL HELP TO TRIGGER T-STORMS AS IT MOVES OVER THE REGION.
