* AT 1225 PM PDT...A NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WEATHER SPOTTER
  REPORTED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER WEST
  CENTRAL DESCHUTES COUNTY...ABOUT 15 MILES WEST OF BEND. THE
  THUNDERSTORMS WERE NEARLY STATIONARY.

* SOME LOCATIONS THREATENED THROUGH 330 PM PDT...
  CREEKS AND STREAMS NORTHEAST THROUGH SOUTHEAST OF MOUNT BACHELOR

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WIALL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS

SCATTERED SHOWERS FROM THE COLUMBIA BASIN EASTWARD. THE NEXT SHORT
WAVE TO MOVE THROUGH THE FORECAST AREA THIS AFTERNOON IS CURRENTLY
OVER THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA/SOUTHWEST OREGON COAST AT THIS TIME.
LIGHTNING STRIKES ARE ALREADY EVIDENT IN THIS LOCATION ON THE
LIGHTNING PLOT. A CLEARING LINE FROM MADRAS OVER TO JOHN DAY IS
MAKING ITS WAY NORTHWARD...AND EXPECT PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES THROUGH
THE BASIN BY LATE MORNING/EARLY AFTERNOON. THIS CLEARING COMBINED
WITH THE SHORT WAVE MOVING THROUGH THE FORECAST AREA WILL HELP
DESTABILIZE THE ALREADY UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE AND WILL ONCE AGAIN
BRING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE FORECAST AREA THIS AFTERNOON.
