THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EASTERN PUTNAM COUNTY IN TENNESSEE

* UNTIL 730 PM CDT

* AT 525 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING RAINFALL AT A RATE OF TWO INCHES
  PER HOUR OVER EAST PUTNAM COUNTY...ABOUT 11 MILES EAST OF
  COOKEVILLE. THE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTH AT 10 MPH.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THE HEAVY RAIN WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING
IN LOW LYING AREAS AND ALONG SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
