NORTHERN GREAT BASIN FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ELKO NV 220 PM PDT WED SEP 12 2001 .SYNOPSIS...THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE TOWARDS THE NORTHEAST. THIS WILL RESULT IN A DECREASE IN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT. ON THURSDAY ONLY A FEW LINGERING SHOWERS WILL OCCUR NEAR THE IDAHO AND OREGON BORDERS. ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRUSH THE FAR NORTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY FOR A SMALL THREAT OF SHOWERS. .DISCUSSION...UPPER LOW CENTERED NEAR SACRAMENTO WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE TOWARDS THE NORTHEAST.
