MAIN FCST CHALLENGE IS TIMING OF PRECIP TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW.
MODELS ARE SIMILAR WITH TIMING OF THE UPPER LEVEL FEATURES...TAKING
THE TROUGH ACROSS THE FCST AREA BY 06Z FRI. IN THE LOWER LEVELS...
MODELS DIFFER SLIGHTLY. THE AVN/ETA DEVELOPS A LOW OVER SW CO BY
THIS EVENING. NGM HAS IT/S TYPICAL NORTHERN BIAS SO AM TRENDING
TOWARD THE ETA/AVN. THIS LOW IS PROGGED TO SLIDE N/NE ALONG THE
BOUNDARY CURRENTLY OVER THE WESTERN PART OF THE STATE. THE
DEVELOPING LOW OVER SW KS WILL HELP LOW LEVEL WINDS TO BACK DURING
THE EVENING...00-03Z.

COULD BE A COUPLE AREAS WHERE CONVECTION WILL START. ONE WILL BE
NORTH OF THE FCST AREA WHERE CONVERGENCE WILL BE MAXIMIZED ALONG
SFC/850MB BOUNDARY. ANOTHER COULD BE WEST OF THE FCST AREA WHERE
WINDS WILL BACK THIS EVENING...THEREBY INCREASING THE CONVERGENCE IN
THIS AREA. EXPECT THERE COULD BE SOME TSRA OVER NCEN PORTIONS OF THE
FCST AREA THIS EVENING...SOME OF WHICH MAY BE SEVERE DUE TO A GOOD
VEERING WIND PROFILE AND HIGH CAPES. PROBLEM WITH THIS IS THERE IS
STILL A GOOD CAP OVER MUCH OF THE STATE. WOULD EXPECT SOME TSRA TO
BACK BUILD DOWN THETA-E AXIS ACROSS EASTERN KS OVERNIGHT...AND A
LINE OF CONVECTION TO MOVE INTO CEN/SCEN SECTIONS TONIGHT FROM THE
WEST.

SYSTEM APPEARS TO BE COMING OUT SLOWER THAN PREVIOUSLY EXPECTED. SO
WILL REINTRODUCE MORNING PRECIP FOR MAINLY SCEN SECTION AND WILL
TAKE OUT MORNING WORDING FOR SE KS. WILL ALSO PUT IN SLIGHT CHC
MORNING PRECIP FOR SLN AREA. OTHERWISE WILL KEEP REMAINDER OF FCST
DRY FOR NOW.

SINCE THE SYSTEM IS COMING OUT SLOWER...WILL BUMP UP LOWS OVERNIGHT
FOR MAINLY SCEN/SE SECTIONS. AFTER A BRIEF NW WIND AFTER THE FRONTAL
PASSAGE...EXPECT WINDS TO BECOME WESTERLY FOR FRIDAY. THIS WILL PUT
A DOWNSLOPE COMPONENT TO THE WIND...HELPING TEMPS FRIDAY TO WARM.
WILL THEREFORE BUMP UP TEMPS SLIGHTLY FRIDAY. REMAINDER OF TEMP FCST
LOOKS GOOD.

THANKS FOR COORD...TOP.
