THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN BRAZORIA COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS

* UNTIL 1030 PM CDT

* AT 825 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAINFALL
  CONTINUING OVER NORTHERN BRAZORIA COUNTY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS
  OF 2 INCHES PER HOUR WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE END OF THE
  EVENING.

* FLOODING IS EXPECTED IN OR NEAR...
  BROOKSIDE VILLAGE...PEARLAND...AREAS NORTH OF HIGHWAY 6

TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED IN THESE AREAS THIS EVENING. THE 
CIRCULATION WITH TROPICAL STORM ALLISON HAS BECOME NEARLY  
STATIONARY...AND ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLOODING CAN BE 
EXPECTED. 

ROADS ARE IMPASSABLE IN SOUTHDOWN SUBDIVISION IN PEARLAND AREA WITH 
CARS STRANDED. WIDESPREAD STREET FLOODING REPORTED ALONG AND NORTH 
OF HIGHWAY 6.  

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 6 TO 8 INCHES HAVE OCCURRED IN EXTREME NORTHERN 
BRAZORIA COUNTY NORTH OF MANVEL PRIMARILY IN THE PEARLAND AREA. 
CLOVER FIELD IN PEARLAND HAS REPORTED 7.89 INCHES OF RAIN SO FAR 
THIS EVENING. A TOTAL OF 8.35 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN 
FRIENDSWOOD.

THIS IS A LIFE THREATENING SITUATION EXPECT FLOODING OF 
CREEKS...STREAMS...BAYOUS...UNDERPASSES...AND FEEDER ROADS. AVOID 
TRAVEL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!
