KUDOS TO THE ETA FROM THE 8/10 12Z RUN. THE 54HR PROG AT THAT
TIME...WHICH WAS FOR 18Z THIS AFTERNOON...SHOWED INCREASING LIFT
AND MOISTURE ALL OVER CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND DEPOSITED HEALTHY
QPFS WITHIN THE CWA. THE AVN ON THE OTHER HAND MISSED THE EVENT.
CURRENTLY...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE IN AND ALONG NORTHERN
SECTION OF THE CWA...MOVING ESE. WATER VAPOR IMAGERY AND PROFILERS
SHOW AN ACCOMPANYING VORT MAX OVER THE NEB/SD BORDER THIS HOUR.
MEANWHILE...STIFLING HEAT CONTINUES TO GRIP THE WESTERN STATES AS
AN UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE REMAINS ENTRENCHED THERE. AT
THE SFC...A COLD FRONT EXTENDED FROM LOW PRESSURE OVER THE OHIO
VALLEY INTO EASTERN TEXAS. CLOSER TO HOME...A SECOND COLD FRONTAL
BOUNDARY WAS LOCATED MAINLY OVER SOUTHERN SD...JUST BEHIND THE
SHOWERS ACTIVITY GOING ON.

SOME DIFFERENCES NOTED AMONGST THE MODELS. THE GENERAL UPPER LEVEL
PATTERN IS PROGGED TO DAMPEN THE WESTERN RIDGE WITH TIME BY ALL THE
MODELS. BUT SPECIFICS DIVERGE AS THERE IS LACKING AGREEMENT WITH
VORT MAXES RUNNING UP AND OVER THE RIDGE. EVEN THIS MORNINGS
INITIALIZATION PERIOD WAS IN DISAGREEMENT. THE AVN APPEARED TO BE
THE MOST ON TRACK WITH THE WAVE MOVING THRU THE AREA...WHILE THE
ETA AND NGM WERE POOR AT BEST. EVEN LOW LEVEL TEMPS AND MOISTURE ARE
NOT IN GREAT AGREEMENT. SO...ANSWERS PROBABLY LAY SOMEWHERE
IN  BETWEEN.

MONDAY NIGHT AND INTO TUESDAY APPEARS TO BE THE NEXT SHOT FOR PCPN
AS A RATHER VIGOROUS SHORT WAVE APPROACHES THE PLAINS. WITH MODELS
SHOWING TIMING AND PLACEMENT DIFFICULTIES...DECIDED TO COVER MON
NIGHT AND TUESDAY EQUALLY WITH SMALL POPS WITHIN NEB CWA.

COOLER AIR ADVERTISED TO INFILTRATE THE AREA TUESDAY
NIGHT/WEDNESDAY MORNING...SO WILL DROP TEMPS A BIT BELOW GUID.

IN THE EXTENDED...GOING FCST HAS PCPN CHANCES WEDNESDAY. IF THIS
SYSTEM MOVES THRU FASTER THAN EXPECTED...GOOD CHANCE WELL BE DRY
WITH WAKE OF THE FRONT. WILL LEAVE ALONE FOR NOW UNTIL THINKS
BECOME A BIT MORE CLEAR. OTHERWISE...NAO TRENDS SUGGEST A WARMING
TREND IN THE EXTENDED...SO WILL GO HIGHER THAN MEX OR MRF MOS TEMPS.
