GONZALES DEWITT * UNTIL 330 PM CDT * AT 1223 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN NEAR SMILEY...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH. ALSO HEAVY RAINS WERE MOVING NORTH INTO...AND DEVELOPING OVER DEWITT COUNTY AT 15 MPH. RAINFALL RATES BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES AN HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE AREA. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.
