THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN TEXAS...
LAVACA
DEWITT
KARNES
* UNTIL 8 PM CDT
* AT 345 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF
THUNDERSTORMS CONTAINING VERY HEAVY RAIN MOVING NORTHWARD INTO
KARNES...LAVACA AND DEWITT COUNTIES FROM THE SOUTH.
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF
CREEKS...LOW-WATER CROSSINGS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES.
ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS
AND RIVERS AND OTHER LOW-LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
