AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DULUTH MN 230 AM CDT WED AUG 8 2001 FORECAST CONCERNS ON MORNING CONVECTION...DAYTIME HEAT AND THEN CHANGE IN AIRMASS IN LATER PERIODS. MODELS OVERALL IN GENERAL AGREEMENT AND FOLLOWED WITH ETA/AVN BLEND. IR IMAGES SHOWING MCS HAVING GOOD STRUCTURE AS IT MOVES INTO NORTHWEST MINNESOTA. THICKNESS PACKING TAKES THIS COMPLEX SOUTHEAST THIS MORNING... AFFECTING MAINLY SOUTHWEST PORTION OF CWA. BOW NATURE OF THIS COMPLEX MAY KEEP IT A LITTLE FURTHER NORTH HOWEVER. BY MID MORNING CONVECTION DIMINISHES AS CAP BUILDS. HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL DOMINATE MUCH OF THE REGION.
