SHORT TERM...APPEARS ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE
FIRING ALONG THE DRYLINE W OF ABI AND SJT THIS AFTERNOON.
ALSO...CONVECTION IS BECOMING ORGANIZED JUST NORTH OF CWA BUT MOVING
NORTH.  ACTIVITY WILL SPREAD EAST AND SHOULD AFFECT N PARTS OF CWA
THIS EVENING.  RATHER VIGOROUS UPPER SHORTWAVE WILL MOVE THROUGH
NORTH TX AND SHOULD SUSTAIN ACTIVITY WELL INTO TONIGHT.  WILL
THEREFORE...HAVE 30-40 PERCENT POPS OVER MOST N ZONES TONIGHT...20
PERCENT ELSEWHERE.  LITTLE CHANGE IS EXPECTED IN SURFACE PATTERN
OVER NEXT FEW DAYS.  MODELS ARE MAINTAINING GOOD ISENTROPIC LIFT FOR
SUNDAY...BUT SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION SHOULD BE FOCUSED ALONG
STATIONARY BOUNDARY ACROSS NORTHERN AND CENTRAL TX.  THERE IS STILL
ENOUGH INSTABILITY...AND POSSIBLY AN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY...TO WARRANT
POPS FOR DIURNAL ACTIVITY AS ADVERTISED IN THE CURRENT FORECAST.

EXTENDED...FRONT WILL NOT MOVE TOO MUCH FURTHER SOUTH AND SHOULD
BECOME DIFFUSE BY TUESDAY.  TIME HEIGHT PLOTS FROM MRF AND 12Z AVN
INDICATE MORE SHALLOW MOISTURE ACROSS AREA BY MIDWEEK.  ALSO...WITH
UPPER HIGH SHIFTING ACROSS AREA...WILL HAVE DRY WEATHER FOR
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. S/W ENERGY SHOULD APPROACH SOUTH TEXAS LATE
IN THE WEEK SO WILL LIKELY INTRODUCE POPS AGAIN ON FRIDAY.

MARINE...WILL GO WITH SCEC TONIGHT FOR ALL AREAS AS WINDS SPEEDS
HAVE DECREASE SOME...AND FORCING WILL BE SLIGHTLY WEAKER TONIGHT.
MODELS MAINTAIN A MODERATE SE FLOW...BUT THE GRADIENT WILL BE TIGHT
ENOUGH TO WARRANT SCEC CONDITIONS ON SUNDAY.
