000 WGUS54 KTSA 211550 FFWTSA OKC021-101-135-211900- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 1049 AM CDT WED JUN 21 2000 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR CHEROKEE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA MUSKOGEE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA SEQUOYAH COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA * UNTIL 200 PM CDT * AT 1040 AM CDT...SHERIFF'S OFFICES AND THE OKLAHOMA HIGHWAY PATROL REPORTED NUMEROUS ROADS FLOODED OVER THIS AREA. HIGHWAY 141 NEAR GANS HIGHWAY 82 NEAR VIAN AND NORTH OF TAHLEQUAH. AND HIGHWAY 64B NEAR MINERAL SPRINGS ARE A FEW OF THE AREAS FLOODED. SERIOUS FLOODING WAS ALSO REPORTED IN THE CITY OF MUSKOGEE. FROM 5 TO 7 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN AND ANOTHER INCH OF RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE. HEAVY RAINS WILL TAPER OFF...BUT RUNOFF WILL CONTINUE INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS. * SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO BE AFFECTED BY THE FLOODING INCLUDE WEBBERS FALLS...FORT GIBSON...BRAGGS...MUSKOGEE... COOKSON...TAHLEQUAH...MARBLE CITY AND GORE. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER MAY BE TOO DEEP TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
