TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   CENTRAL AND EASTERN OKLAHOMA                           

EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING FROM 630 PM UNTIL
MIDNIGHT CDT.

 ...THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION...
 
DAMAGING TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL TO 4 INCHES IN DIAMETER...
THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 80 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE
POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 60 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST
OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES SOUTHEAST OF FORT SILL OKLAHOMA TO 20 MILES
NORTHEAST OF BARTLESVILLE OKLAHOMA.

VERY UNSTABLE AIRMASS WITH CAPES TO 5000 J/KG AHEAD OF FRONT ALONG
WITH WEAKENING CAP.  AS STRONG UPPER SYSTEM SPREADS UVV AND COOLING
INTO WRN OK THIS EVENING...STORMS EXPECTED TO RAPIDLY DEVELOP AND
BECOME SEVERE VICINITY OF FRONT.  INITIAL STORMS NOW DEVELOPING
NEAR FSI.  ADDITIONAL STORMS WELL DEVELOP PROGRESSIVELY NEWD FROM
THIS AREA.  VEERING SHEAR PROFILES COUPLED WITH EXTREME INSTABILITY
SUFFICIENT FOR TORNADIC SUPERCELLS ALONG WITH VERY LARGE HAIL.

SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 4 INCHES.  EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
