THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SCOTLAND COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 1000 PM EDT

* AT 754 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY
  HEAVY RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA.

  RADAR INDICATED RAINFALL TOTALS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES IN WESTERN
  SCOTLAND COUNTY. THESE STORMS WILL MOVE TOWARD THE AREA JUST NORTH
  OF AND INCLUDING LAURINBURG BY 830 PM. THE HEAVY RAINS WILL LEAD
  TO FLASH FLOODING OF ROADWAYS AND LOW LYING AREAS.

  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS AS THIS IS THE
  NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF WEATHER RELATED FATALITIES IN NORTH
