MORNING'S SOUNDING AT MHX HAD A 500 MB TEMP OF -12 DEG C. THIS
AGREES WELL WITH THE MESO ETA...WHICH SHOWS -14 DEG C THIS
AFTERNOON. AS THE SUN HEATS THE SFC...THIS WILL CREATE A STEEP LAPSE
RATE AND LEAD TO CU DEVELOPMENT AND SCATTERED SHOWERS...POSSIBLY
EVEN A THUNDERSTORM THIS AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...ATMOSPHERE IS NOT VERY
MOIST...ONLY .90 PW. CURRENT AREA OF LIGHT SHOWERS MOVING ACROSS
RALEIGH SEEMS TO BE WEAKENING...HOWEVER...SHOWER AREA MAY EXPAND A
BIT AS THEY MOVE EAST INTO CLEAR AREAS CURRENTLY RECEIVING GOOD
INSOLATION. WILL KEEP 30 POPS...AS DO NOT EXPECT COVERAGE TO BE
WIDESPREAD...OR LAST VERY LONG OVER ONE AREA. HIGHS ONLY IN THE
