SOUTHERN ROWAN COUNTY IN PIEDMONT NORTH CAROLINA * UNTIL 700 PM EDT * AT 630 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS 8 MILES SOUTH OF SALISBURY...OR ABOUT 3 MILES SOUTHWEST OF FAITH...MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH. * THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR... WILL HAVE TO WATCH CLOSELY FOR CONVECTIVE DEVELOPMENT AS UPR TROUGH APPROACHES WITH HIGHER MID-LEVEL WINDS AND COOLER TEMPS /850-700 LAPSES AROUND -8.5 THIS EVENING/. WHATEVER DOES DEVELOP WILL MOVE EAST AND PROVIDE ERN ZONES WITH CHC POPS EARLY TONIGHT AS THOSE ZONES SHOULD DESTABILIZE LATER THIS AFTERNOON.
