STORMS HAVE CONTINUED TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE ACROSS THE COASTAL
BEND THIS MORNING.  THIS IS PRIMARILY DUE TO A 100KT+ JET STREAK
MOVING THROUGH NRN MEXICO.  SOUTH TX REMAINS IN THE FAVORABLE LFQ
RIGHT NOW.  SOME STORMS ARE PRODUCING SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS AND
SO SOME FLOODING PROBLEMS MAY OCCUR TODAY.  WL NOT ISSUE ANY FFA
GIVEN THAT ANY FLOODING WHICH DOES OCCUR SHOULD REMAIN ISOLATED.
SFC QUASI-STATIONARY FNT/TROUGH HAS PUSHED INTO PADRE ISLAND WITH
ELY WINDS BEING REPORTED AT PORT ARANSAS AT 14Z AND A NOTICEABLE
INCREASE IN DEWPOINTS INTO THE MID 60S.  DESPITE THE LACK OF MARINE
DATA...THERE APPEARS TO BE A WEAK SFC LOW JUST OFFSHORE FROM PORT
ARANSAS.  THE CURRENT THINKING IS THAT GRADUALLY THE BEST COVERAGE
OF STORMS WL GRADUALLY SHIFT NEWD TODAY INTO THE VCT AREA.  WL BUMP
UP POPS FOR THIS AREA.  WL LEAVE IN CHC POPS FOR THE COASTAL BEND
AND SLIGHT CHC OUT WEST.  BLV CAPPING OUT WEST AND INTRUSION OF
DRIER AIR WL PRECLUDE MUCH IN THE WAY OF ANY DEVELOPMENT.  TEMPS WL
BE TRICKY GIVEN THE ABUNDANT CLOUD CVR AND THE PERSISTENT NLY
WINDS.  IF THE VERY SHALLOW COOL LAYER DOES NOT BREAK...THEN WE WL
BE DEALING WITH TEMPS COOLER THAN FCST.  RIGHT NOW...I EXPECT THE
AIRMASS TO EVENTUALLY MIX AS THERE SHOULD BE BREAKS IN THE CLOUD CVR
TODAY.
