TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   CENTRAL AND EASTERN TEXAS                              
   CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN LOUISIANA                          

EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 115 PM UNTIL 700
PM CST.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 65 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND
SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 25 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF AUSTIN TEXAS TO 40
MILES EAST OF ALEXANDRIA LOUISIANA.

AND SUPERCELLS VICINITY OF BOUNDARY.  ADDITIONALLY A SQUALL LINE
LIKELY TO DEVELOP DURING AFTERNOON ALONG COLD FRONT MOVING INTO
CENTRAL TX AHEAD OF STRONG UPPER LOW.


AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES.  EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
