THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING...
  GUADALUPE COUNTY IN TEXAS

* UNTIL 200 PM CDT

* AT AT 1215 PM CDT... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR   
INDICATED A SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER PARTS 
OF GUADALUPE COUNTY...MOVING NORTH AT 15 MPH.  IN ADDITION HEAVY 
RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO FORM OVER THE AREA.

THE WEATHER PATTERN BODES WELL FOR CONTINUED RAIN THE NEXT ONE 
TO TWO HOURS...CAUSING FLOODING AT LOW WATER CROSSINGS...LOW LYING 
AREAS AND OTHER FLOOD PRONE AREAS IN GUADALUPE COUNTY.

DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD!  IT CAN
BE DIFFICULT AT TIMES TO JUDGE DEPTH OF WATER AT FLOODED LOW
WATER CROSSINGS...AND FLOWING WATER CAN PUSH DESTROY AND STALL 
VEHICLES IN LOW WATER CROSSINGS.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE IN 
FLOOD PRONE AREAS.

CREEKS AND STREAMS CAN RISE RAPIDLY... FLOODING ROADS...
HIGHWAYS...AND CAMPS IN LOW LYING AREAS.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND UNDERPASSES.
ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS
AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

AGAIN...DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS 
THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO 
CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED 
QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT
