MAIN FORECAST CONCERN CENTERS AROUND SHORT WAVE COMING OUT OF SOUTHWEST TONIGHT AND SATURDAY. FRONT HAS BEEN HUNG UP IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI TODAY AND SHOULD STAY IN THAT AREA...OR MAY EVEN BACK UP SOME TONIGHT. PREFER ETA POSITIONING OF SURFACE FEATURES. NGM SHOWING ITS TOO FAR WEST BIAS. DRY AIR IS EXPECTED TO QUICKLY SWEEP INTO WESTERN MISSOURI BY SATURDAY EVENING. AS UPPER SHORT WAVE MOVES INTO AREA. LOW LEVEL JET TONIGHT AND ON DAY SATURDAY SHOULD SUPPORT THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT. CAPPING THIS AFTERNOON SLOWING DEVELOPMENT...BUT ALREADY SEEING THAT BREAKING DOWN IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA...AND WITH LOW LEVEL JET...SHOULD SEE STORMS INTO FORECAST AREA TONIGHT.

TEMPERATURES WILL BE TRICKY GIVEN FRONT AND CLOUD COVER. WITH FRONT EXPECTED TO BE GRADUALLY MOVING BACK TO THE NORTHWEST IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI...WILL NOT HAVE TEMPERATURES DROP MUCH FROM CURRENT LEVELS FOR LOWS TONIGHT. IN FACT THEY MAY CLIMB SOME IF FRONT BACKS UP. WITH ALL OF FORECAST AREA EXPECTED TO BE IN THE WARM SECTOR DURING DAY ON SATURDAY...WILL GO FAIRLY MILD...BUT BANK ON CLOUDINESS AND PRECIP TO STOP ANY BIG CLIMBS.  FAN SEEMS WAY TOO COLD...AND WILL EVEN GO SLIGHTLY ABOVE FWC NUMBERS.
