THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN SHELBY COUNTY... IN CENTRAL ALABAMA

* UNTIL 955 PM CDT

* AT 650 PM CDT...RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW A CLUSTER OF STRONG
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER EXTREME SOUTHERN
  JEFFERSON COUNTY AND EXTREME NORTHERN SHELBY COUNTY.  RADAR HAS
  ESTIMATED THAT ONE AND HALF TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN
  OVER EXTRME NORTHERN SHELBY COUNTY...MAINLY IN THE HOOVER AREA.

  THIS RAINFALL WILL LIKELY RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING IN THE
  URBAN AREAS OF NORTHERN SHELBY COUNTY BETWEEN 650 PM AND 830
  PM.  AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN MAY OCCUR
  OVER THIS SAME AREA BETWEEN 650 PM AND 730 PM...AGGRAVATING THE
  FLOODING THREAT.
