AT 155 AM...PERSISTENT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE
NORTHEAST OVER MUCH OF SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS.
THUNDERSTORMS MOVING REPEATEDLY OVER THIS SAME GENERAL AREA HAVE
PRODUCED RAINFALL TOTALS IN THE 2 TO 4 INCH RANGE...WITH SOME LOCALLY
HIGHER AMOUNTS. ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND STORMS MOVING NORTHEAST OUT OF
TEXAS WILL AGGRAVATE THE SITUATION...LEADING TO A CONTINUED THREAT OF
FLASH FLOODING.
 
OFFICIALS IN LEFLORE COUNTY REPORT THAT MANY LOW LYING ROADS ARE
COMPLETELY UNDER WATER AND CLOSED.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS LIKELY OR HAS BEEN
REPORTED.  STAY ALERT AND WATCH FOR RAPIDLY RISING WATER.
REMEMBER...IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO THE
NEAREST STREAM...CREEK OR RIVER WHICH CAN BECOME A KILLER DURING

WILL NOT TAMPER WITH FLASH FLOOD WATCH.

CONVECTION OVER NORTH TEXAS COULD BE A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME.
BOTH THE 12Z ETA AND 12Z NGM BROUGHT A SHORTWAVE OVER THE AREA LATE
TONIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING AND BOTH GENERATE RAIN ACROSS THE
AREA.  WITH THE SATURATED GROUND AND SWOLLEN STREAMS DUE TO HEAVY
RAINS EARLIER TODAY ANY ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL JUST FUEL THE FIRE.

WILL MAKE SOME COSMETIC CHANGES TO WORDING AND ALSO MAKE MINOR
CHANGES TO TEMPERATURES AND WINDS TONIGHT.
