THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 10 PM CST SUNDAY EVENING FOR PEOPLE IN THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES

IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA
     LE FLORE AND EASTERN LATIMER 

IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
     SEBASTIAN

INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
     POTEAU...FORT SMITH...TAHLIHINA...HEAVENER AND BIG CEDAR

AT 715 PM CST WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF 
THUNDERSTORMS THAT EXTENDED FROM NEAR FORT SMITH SOUTHWESTWARD
ACROSS LEFLORE AND EASTERN LATIMER COUNTIES. THESE STORMS
ALSO EXTENDED FURTHER SOUTHWEST INTO NORTHEAST TEXAS AND WERE 
MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN
OVER MOST OF THE WARNED AREA AND THESE THUNDERSORMS COULD PRODUCE
ANOTHER 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN THROUGH 10PM.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL LIKELY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING 
OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS. LOW LYING AREAS AND URBAN AREAS MAY 
ALSO BE FLOODED.

RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE 
PRECAUTIONS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS
OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS, 
ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND.
