NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT
703 PM MDT MON JUL 27 1998

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A

   * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
     NORTHEASTERN WEBER COUNTY IN UTAH

   * UNTIL 1000 PM MDT

   * AT 655 PM MDT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY
     RAIN 5 MILES EAST OF POWDER MTN...OR ABOUT 10 MILES NORTHEAST OF
     HUNTSVILLE.  

VERY HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE AREA BETWEEN THE MIDDLE AND SOUTH 
FORKS OF THE OGDEN RIVER SINCE 6 PM.  STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE 
CONTINUING IN THAT AREA AT 7 PM.  RAPID RISES IN WATER IN BOTH THE 
MIDDLE AND SOUTH FORKS OF THE RIVER ARE LIKELY AS WELL AS IN THEIR 
TRIBUTARIES.  FLOODING IS EXPECTED ALONG THESE RIVERS FROM THEIR 
HEADWATERS UNTIL THEY REACH THE PINEVIEW RESERVOIR.
