NEW HAVEN COUNTY INCLUDING ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS IN SOUTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT * UNTIL 850 PM EDT * A STRONG THUNDERSTORM LOCATED OVER THE WEST CENTRAL PORTION OF THE COUNTY WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST AROUND 40 MPH. A COLD FRONT APPROACHING THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE APPALACHIANS WILL ADVANCE EASTWARD THIS EVENING...CROSSING THE TRI-STATE REGION LATE TONIGHT. AHEAD OF THIS FRONT SOME VERY WARM AND HUMID AIR IS IN PLACE. THE RESULTANT INSTABILITY IS ENOUGH TO TRIGGER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
