FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT

HEAVY RAINS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES HAVE BROUGHT MANY SMALL STREAMS
OUT OF THEIR BANKS CAUSING FLOODING IN SOUTHEAST CONNECTICUT.
PONDING OF WATER AND STREET FLOODING IS WIDESPREAD.
 
HEAVY RAINS CONTINUE TO FALL ACROSS THE WARNING AREA. NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES AN AREA OF MODERATE TO
HEAVY RAIN FROM EASTERN LONG ISLAND NORTHEASTWARD INTO MIDDLESEX
AND NEW LONDON COUNTIES. THIS RAIN WILL CONTINUE FOR SEVERAL
HOURS BEFORE GRADUALLY TAPERING OFF FROM WEST TO EAST.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
