THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  OBION COUNTY IN WESTERN TENNESSEE

* UNTIL 545 PM CDT

* AT 155 PM CDT... TENNESSEE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTS THAT TWO
LEVEES HAVE BROKEN NEAR THE TOWN OF RIVES RESULTING IN THE
EVACUATION OF 10 TO 15 HOMES. THESE LEVEES ARE LOCATED ALONG THE
NORTH FORK OF THE OBION RIVER.

* THE NORTH FORK OF THE OBION RIVER IS PRESENTLY ESTIMATED TO BE
RISING AT 3/4 INCH PER HOUR. AN ADDITIONAL 30 TO 40 HOMES MAY NEED
TO BE EVACUATED AROUND RIVES. IN ADDITION..TENNESSEE EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT SAYS THAT ADDITIONAL LEVEE FAILURES ARE POSSIBLE.

.A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...
ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
