EXTREME SOUTHERN PANHANDLE...AND LOW ROLLING PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND HIGH WINDS. A COLD FRONT HAS VIRTUALLY STALLED JUST NORTH OF THE SOUTH PLAINS. AT 1 PM...THERE WAS ALMOST A 30 DEGREE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AMARILLO AND CHILDRESS. OTHER INGREDIENTS WILL COME TOGETHER ACROSS OUR AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT TO CAUSE POTENTIALLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. THE ATMOSPHERE IS WARM...MOIST AND UNSTABLE.
