EASTERN LOUP COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA * UNTIL 820 PM CDT * AT 732 PM CDT... NORTH PLATTE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 38 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF BROKEN BOW OR 8 MILES NORTHEAST OF ALMERIA MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH. MODELS DIFFER GREATLY ON TIMING OF SMALL IMPULSES WHICH COULD SET OFF SCT AREAS OF TRW THROUGH MON EVENING...AS INDICATED BY 700-500 AND 500-300 MB LAYER Q-VECTOR CONVERGENCE. ALL MODELS CONSISTENT WITH GOOD COLD AIR ADVECTION AT 500 MB FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH 36 HOURS MOVING SLOWLY FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS THE CWA. THIS KEEPS GOOD LAPSE RATES OVER THE AREA THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. RESULT IS THAT MENTION OF SCATTERED SHOWERS/THUNDERSTORMS FOR AFTERNOON AND EVENING SEEMS APPROPRIATE.
