BRAZORIA COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS * UNTIL 140 PM CDT * AT 1035 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM ROSHARON TO SAN LUIS PASS...MOVING NORTHWEST AT 25 MPH. * RADAR AND SATELLITE ESTIMATES OVER 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVERNIGHT AND THIS MORNING. GROUND SPOTTERS ALSO INDICATE OVER 5 INCHES OF RAIN IN WEST COLUMBIA. RAINFALL RATES OF AN ADDITIONAL 1/2 TO 1 INCH PER HOUR ARE LIKELY...ENHANCING THIS FLOOD SITUATION.
