THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A

   * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
     HENDERSON COUNTY IN TEXAS
     KAUFMAN COUNTY IN TEXAS
     VAN ZANDT COUNTY IN TEXAS
     INCLUDING GUN BARREL CITY AND CANTON

   * UNTIL 900 AM CDT

   * AT 500 AM CDT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED HEAVY RAIN 
FALLING BEWTEEN TERRELL..GRAN SALINE...ATHENS AND 5 MILES WEST 
SOUTHWEST OF GUN BARREL CITY.  THERE WAS LITTLE MOVEMENT FROM THE 
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE IN THE RAIN AREA.  DOPPLER RAINFALL 
ESTIMATES SINCE 2 AM RANGE FROM TWO TO THREE INCHES.  AN ADDITIONAL 
TWO TO THREE INCHES IS POSSIBLE BEFORE THE RAIN BEGINS TO TAPPER OFF 
EARLY THIS MORNING. 

MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN APPROACHING LOW 
WATER CROSSINGS AND LOW LYING AREAS.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS THESE 
AREAS IF THEY ARE WATER FILLED.
