135 WUUS1 KSAT 122101 RRA SVRSAT TXC299-122200- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 259 PM CST THU FEB 12 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...LLANO COUNTY AT 3 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH LARGE HAIL 10 MILES WEST OF CASTELL. RADAR INDICATED 3/4 INCH HAIL AND THE STORM IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN INTENSITY AS IT MOVES ACROSS LLANO COUNTY TOWARD CASTELL... LLANO AND LAKE BUCHANAN. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN ALSO OCCUR WITH SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...FLOODING SMALL STREAMS...LOW AREAS...AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
