THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  GONZALES COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
  LAVACA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
  DEWITT COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
  KARNES COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS

* UNTIL 1000 AM CDT

* FLASH FLOODING EXPECTED AROUND-
  WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS FROM TROPICAL STORM
  FRANCES CONTINUE TO MOVE INTO SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS THIS MORNING.
  HEAVY RAINS OF 2 TO 3 INCES WITH ISOLATED TOTALS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES
  WERE COMMON OVER MUCH DEWITT AND LAVACA COUNTIES WITH THE HEAVY
  RAIN SPREADING EASTWARD INTO GONZALES AND KARNES COUNTIES.

* WATER HAS BEEN REPORTED MANY ROADS IN DEWITT COUNTY AND ROADS MAY
  BE CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER AS THE HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE.

IF YOU ARE IN THESE AREAS... MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. DO NOT DRIVE
THROUGH WATER COVERING THE ROAD.

AREA RESIDENTS SHOULD MONITOR FLOOD CONDITIONS... AND BE PREPARED
TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND... SHOULD FLOOD WATERS THREATEN. IF FLASH
FLOODING IS OBSERVED... ACT QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO
ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN
WATER BEGINS RISING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT
AT NIGHT TO TELL HOW MUCH WATER IS ON ROADS. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT
DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.
