THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ORLEANS COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL VERMONT

* UNTIL 955 PM EDT.

* AT 700 PM...RAIN CONTINUED TO FALL OVER MUCH OF ORLEANS COUNTY
  AT THE RATE OF ONE HALF TO ONE INCH PER HOUR.  THIS COMBINED
  WITH RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 3 INCHES THIS AFTERNOON IN
  THUNDERSTORMS HAS LED TO FLOODING ON AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS.
  MANY ROADS ARE WATER COVERED WITH SOME SECTIONS PARTIALLY WASHED
  OUT.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERBS OF FLOODS. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...QUICKLY MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
