000 TTAA00 KTUL 090236 RRA SVRTUL OKC037-090315- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 934 PM CDT WED OCT 8 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1015 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA ...WESTERN CREEK COUNTY AT 933 PM RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 2 MILES SOUTH OF SHAMROCK MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH. DEPEW AND BRISTOW ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM. SPOTTERS HAVE REPORTED NICKEL SIZED HAIL 5 MILES NORTHWEST DEPEW. HAIL TO THE SIZE OF NICKELS AND WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE WARNED AREA. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER... SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. ADAP INDICATING THAT AMS REMAINS FAIRLY STABLE BEHIND THIS EXITING AREA OF RAIN. EARLIER CELLS DIED FAIRLY RAPIDLY AS THEY PROGRESSED INTO OUR WRN ZONES...HOWEVER FAIRLY STRONG ACTIVITY JUST TO THE W MAKING SOME PROGRESS EWD AND SHOWING LITTLE WEAKENING TREND ON SATELLITE/RADAR REFLECTIVITY.
