000 TTAA00 KSLC 110339 RRA SVRSLC UTC011-029-043-057-110420- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT 933 PM MDT SUN AUG 10 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY UT HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1020 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTHWESTERN UTAH ...DAVIS COUNTY ...MORGAN COUNTY ...WEBER COUNTY IN NORTHERN UTAH ...NORTHERN SUMMIT COUNTY AT 920 PM MDT...A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO MOVE THROUGH THE NORTHERN WASATCH FRONT. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH AND WILL AFFECT CITIES NORTH OF SALT LAKE CITY...THEN THE STORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE MOUNTAINS BY 1030 PM MDT. MANY LOCATIONS ALONG THE WASATCH FRONT FROM CENTERVILLE TO BRIGHAM CITY HAVE REPORTED WINDS IN THE 50 TO 70 MPH RANGE AS THE STORMS HAVE PASSED THROUGH. THESE WINDS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MANY DOWNED POWER LINES IN THE AREA. WdINDS IN THE SALT LAKE VALLEY WILL BE IN THE 30 TO 40 MPH RANGE ...AND THE SALT LAKE VALLEY CAN EXPECT BRIEF HEAVY RAINS AS THE STRONGEST STORMS PASS NORTH. &
