THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY UT HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 855 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN SOUTHWESTERN UTAH

   ...EASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTY
   ...EXTREME WESTERN KANE COUNTY 
 
THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTY AND EXTREME
WESTERN KANE COUNTY HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL 855 PM.

ALTHOUGH THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IN THE UPPER VIRGIN RIVER BASIN HAS
SUBSIDED...RESIDUAL WATER CONTINUES TO FLOW THROUGH THE RIVER
SYSTEM AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO FOR THE NEXT HOUR.  DOPPLER RADAR
INDICATED THAT BETWEEN 1.0 AND 1.5 INCHES OF RAINFALL MAY HAVE
FALLEN OVER THE BASIN THIS EVENING.  THIS WATER WILL TAKE TIME TO
REACH THE MAINSTEM VIRGIN RIVER AND UNTIL THAT TIME THE TRIBUTARIES
WILL REMAIN HIGH.

RESIDENTS IN THE WAVRNED AREA SHOULD USE CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING
TONIGHT...AS SOME SECONDARY ROADS AND LOW-LYING AREAS MAY BE
COVERED BY FLOODWATERS.
