THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY UT HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 350 AM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTHWESTERN UTAH

   ...EASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTY...ZION NATIONAL PARK...

AT 140 AM DOPPLER RADAR ALONG WITH A WEATHER SPOTTER IN
TOQUERVILLE INDICATE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL SOUTH AND EAST OF ZION
NATIONAL PARK.  THIS HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE THROUGH THE PARK
BETWEEN 145 AND 245 AM AND SHOULD PRODUCE CLOSE TO AN INCH BEFORE
THE RAINS MOVE OFF TO THE NORTHEAST.

FLASH FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED ALONG THE SMALLER STREAMS AND SIDE
CANYONS IN AND ADJACENT TO THE PARK.  FLLODING IS NOT EXPECTED
ALONG THE MAIN STEM OF OR THE NORTH FORK OF THE VIRGIN RIVER...
THOUGH FLOWS ALONG BOTH RIVERS WILL INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY
OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.

IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO ESCAPE FLOOD
WATERS.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS
RISING.
