THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY UT HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1250 AM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTH CENTRAL UTAH

   ...CENTRAL GARFIELD COUNTY
 
THIS WARNING IS FOR WASHES AND WATERWAYS IN CENTRAL GARFIELD COUNTY
ESPECIALLY THE ESCALANTE RIVER AND ALVEY WASH NEAR THE TOWN OF
ESCALANTE.

A SPOTTER HAS REPORTED THAT THE ESCALANTE RIVER AND
ALVEY WASH NEAR ESCALANTE IN CENTRAL GARFIELD WAS FLOODING AT 1015
PM. THERE WAS ALSO WATER OVER A BRIDGE JUST NORTH OF ESCALANTE.
THE FLOODING WAS THE RESULT OF HEAVY RAINFALL THIS AFTERNOON AND
EARLY EVENING.  

  A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE RISING WATER.
