THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY UT HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 850 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTH CENTRAL UTAH

   ...CENTRAL AND SOUTHEASTERN GARFIELD COUNTY
 
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN HAVE DEVELOPED OVER CENTRAL
GARFIELD COUNTY DURING THE PAST HALF AN HOUR.  RADAR ESTIMATES
OF 1.50 TO 2.00 INCHES OF RAIN HAS OCCURRED SOUTH OF ESCALANTE IN
THE PAST HOUR.  THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10-15
MPH OVER THE AREA OF ALVEY WASH DRAINAGE WHERE EARLIER THUNDERSTORMS
ALREADY PRODUCED HEAVY RAINS.
 
ANOTHER AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS IS CURRENTLY DEVELOPING JUST SOUTH OF
SOUTHEASTERN GARFIELD COUNTY AND IS EXPECTED TO CROSS THE REGION
BETWEEN 715 AND 745 PM.
 
IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO ESCAPE FLOOD
WATERS.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS
RISING.
