THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY UT HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTH CENTRAL UTAH

   ...WESTERN WAYNE COUNTY
 
A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCED 1.21 INCHES OF RAIN IN 20 MINUTES AT TORREY
BETWEEN 3:30 AND 3:50 PM THIS AFTERNOON.  THIS THUNDERSTORM IS
MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH.  OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE FORMING
DURING THE NEXT HOUR WITH POTENTIAL OF MORE HEAVY RAIN.  THE
COMBINATION OF HEAVY RAIN AND NARROW CANYONS IN THE ROCKY TERRAIN
WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING.
 
IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO ESCAPE FLOOD
WATERS.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS
RISING.
