THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY UT HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 410 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTH CENTRAL UTAH

   ...WESTERN KANE COUNTY

THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN HAVE DEVELOPED OVER WESTERN
KANE COUNTY BETWEEN MOUNT CARMEL JUNCTION AND ZION NATIONAL
PARK...AND OVER THE WHITE CLIFFS NORTH AND NORTHEAST OF KANAB.
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE IN THESE AREAS FOR
THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.

THESE STORMS ARE SLOW MOVING AT 10 MPH TOWARD THE NORTHEAST.  THE
COMBINATION OF HEAVY RAIN AND NARROW CANYONS IN ROCKY TERRAIN WILL
CAUSE FLASH FLOODING.
 
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FAST FLOWING OR RISING WATER...EITHER ON
FOOT IN YOUR CAR.  NEVER TRY TO OUTRUN A FLOOD...CLIMB DIRECTLY TO
HIGHER GROUND.  STAY AWY< FROM NORMALLY DRY WASHES AND OTHER
DRAINAGES SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.
