000 TTAA00 KRDU 060212 RRA SVRRDU NCC101-060300- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM NC 1010 PM EDT SAT JUL 5 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH/DURHAM HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...JOHNSTON COUNTY AT 1010 PM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED IN JOHNSTON COUNTY ONE MILE NORTHEAST OF BENSON. THE STORM IS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR. THIS STORM WILL PRODUCE NICKEL OR LARGER SIZED HAIL AND POSSIBLY DAMAGING GUSTY WINDS. THE STORM IS EXPECTED TO BE DUE SOUTH OF SMITHFIELD BY 1030 PM.
