000 TTAA00 KRDU 050347 RRA SVRRDU NCC069-050430- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM NC 1146 PM EDT FRI JUL 4 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH/DURHAM HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...FRANKLIN COUNTY AT 1145 PM...RADAR DETECTED A SEVERE STORM MOVING INTO SOUTHERN FRANKLIN COUNTY NEAR YOUNGSVILLE. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF HAIL OVER QUARTER SIZE. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND.
