000 TTAA00 KMRX 272128 FFWMRX TNC143-280030- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KNOXVILLE TRI CITIES TN 527 PM EDT TUE MAY 27 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN KNOXVILLE TRI CITIES HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST TENNESSEE ...RHEA COUNTY AT 523 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MOST OF RHEA COUNTY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE NEARLY STATIONARY AND HAVE SO FAR PRODUCED BETWEEN 2 AND 2.5 INCHES NEAR EVENSVILLE. COUNTY OFFICIALS ALSO REPORT THAT CREEKS ARE BEGINNING TO FLOW OUT OF THEIR BANKS.
